Devnenski short biography

Nikolay Devnenski is a Bulgarian-born artist currently based in Munich, Germany.
Born in 1966, he graduated with a Master of Arts degree from the National Academy of Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1994. He furthered his education at the Macromedia Akademie für Medien in Munich between 2017 and 2018.
27 years ago Devnenski moved to Barcelona, Spain making his career as a web and graphic designer, working also 2D animation and 3D product design among others.
After moving to Munich, Germany he began to work as a media designer for a multinational company. Some years after that, Devnenski dedicated himself to digital art and sculpture exclusively, becoming an artist with fast-growing popularity.
Devnenski's work delves into the interplay between modernity and historical art forms, particularly from the Renaissance and Middle Ages. He believes that time is non-linear, allowing for a symbiotic relationship between past and future. His artworks are noted for their vitality, combining grace, movement, and force.
